While the scratches themselves may have been tiny, they were amplified by the diffuse light produced by the lamp. Given the irregular shape of the component and its transparency, combined with its lighting function, the emphasis was on applying a coating with an even thickness and excellent optical quality. To do exactly that, we developed a custom process in our cleanroom.
