Display covers for charging points

To protect the user interface of its charging points, our customer was looking for a durable solution. The tinted, transparent cover to be fitted in front of the display needed to double up as a card reader. Given the frequent contact with cards, the display was likely to become tarnished over time. At the same time, the polycarbonate needed to be protected against UV radiation.

Based on this application, Zweko suggested several coatings. Two of these were tested, and one proceeded to a specification phase. The coating offers outstanding abrasion resistance, optical quality and UV resistance. 

Based on the shape of the cover, a custom coating process was developed to guarantee quality and efficiency. We also took care of the pad printing of the logo.
