Plastic component coating

All types of plastic have their own advantages and drawbacks. You’re unlikely to find the perfect match for the application you have in mind, precisely because plastic offers so many options.

Coating your plastic components helps improve their mechanical and optical properties. Visors, for example, can be upgraded with a fog-resistant layer, or an abrasion-resistant layer to protect them against scratching. Either way, the result is the same: excellent optical quality.

There are two options: either you supply us with the plastic components you want apply a coating to, or you let us know what you’ve got in mind and we’ll produce it for you.

How does our clean room work?

First of all, we will completely remove all dust from your components, as even a single fleck might negatively affect the end result. Next, your plastic components are moved to our clean room,

where we have ovens available to cure thermal coatings, as well as a UV lamp setup. Using these techniques, we are able to process a range of coatings with or without primer. This includes industry-standard coatings such as Momentive, as well as our own ViewTec coatings. Process automation enables us to coat production runs of hundreds — or even tens of thousands — of items.

A huge range of options is available when it comes to coating methods too: spin coating, dip coating, flow coating and spray coating.

We take care of everything

The only thing you need to do is decide on the end result you’d like to achieve.
We’ll select the most suitable coating for your plastic components and take care of the rest.
