Fog-resistant coating for respirator masks

Our customer, a global name in respiratory protection, noticed that its masks were not being maintained with the necessary care in many industrial settings. They were regularly put through the dishwasher, and the fog-resistant coating was quickly losing its effect as a result.

We knew that our ViewTec™ FRD coating offered highly durable fog resistance, but we had little experience with this maintenance method. As such, we produced several samples to be tested by the end customer. 

The feedback we received from the customer was extremely positive, both in terms of durability, and in terms of fog resistance in challenging circumstances. We subsequently set up a production process to apply an abrasion-resistance coating to the outside of the product, and a fog-resistant coating to the inside.
