Supermarket doors

An innovative customer developed a range of plastic doors for the refrigeration units in supermarkets. The benefit of these doors is that they are lighter and more resistant against knocks. By carefully selecting the right type of possible, it was also possible to significantly reduce the carbon impact of the doors. To guarantee the durability of these doors, we developed a coating in close collaboration with this innovative customer. The end result delivers excellent adhesion to PET, high abrasion resistance and excellent chemical resistance. That way, the doors stay crystal clear and shiny, even after repeated cleaning using various cleaning products. Coated on one side, our customer then assembles the sheets to produce double-glazed doors.
